Pendulum

I did my training with Katri when she had the prototype testing the pendulum out, and I must say I have been WAITING a year to get my hands on one because I knew it was coming.
I often have MULTIPLE pencil’s sharpened for every appointment as I’m not that great at sharpening them with a razor and really didn’t want to stop during the appointment and tell my clients to shut up while I concentrate 😂😂😂.
The pendulum has saved me so much time no more sharpening multiple pencils, and I’m literally saving, because I haven’t broken one ever since I got it. When I do sharpen during an appointment it’s literally 3 pushes and it is sharper than I could have ever gotten it on my own.
my predraws are looking sooooo much better with the pencils as well, so much more defined because the pencils are the easiest I’ve ever used.

$149 is pennies if you add up all the time I’ve wasted trying to get my pencils sharp, and the amount of pencils I’ve had to buy 🤦🏼‍♀️

Sceptical? I was too!!

Okay long one but worth the read…
At first I was like ?? What’s so good about this? It’s $150!! For a sharpener?!

What $150 got me.
- I no longer dread sharpening my pencils, it doesn’t feel like a chore anymore
- my setup is cleaner/easier saving me time before my predraw
- I no longer need to purchase bulk razors
- I’m not throwing away as many razors
- I’m saving $$ on pencil wastage as I’m no longer breaking them
- it’s fun to use!!
- my pre-draw is sharper and cleaner
- sharp + clean predraw = less time wasted on cleaning up messy predraw
- I can have multiple sharp pencils on the go ready

Not going to lie, at first it does take a little while to get used to using the tool, I’m assuming this is based on factors such as *weather (cold pencils = hard pencils = harder to pull out smoothly), *“breaking in” the springs/blade and of course I can’t expect to pick up a product I’ve never used/has only just been invented and be a pro at it. That’s like saying… hey, I’ve never used a circular saw before so when I use it for the first time I’m going to cut a perfectly straight edge piece of wood..

There is trial and error on the users part, I’ve snapped pencils, I’ve made the pencils weird shaped/not sharp enough, I’ve clogged the sharpening tool.. but I persisted and continued to try to double/triple check if it was me or the tool that was having issues… and so after a few tries, I can now do it with my eyes closed.

I absolutely love the pendulum pmu pencil sharpener. This is honestly the biggest game changer for me as a pmu artist. I have never been able to get my pencil this sharp.
